Anna Abeytia is a dedicated and passionate American politician who serves as a Democratic member of the Arizona House of Representatives, representing the 24th district. Born and raised in Maryvale, Arizona, Anna spent her teenage years between Glendale and Phoenix. She is a proud product of the Cartwright School District, having attended Spitalny Elementary and Atkinson Middle schools. Her grandparents, who were civil rights activists, instilled in her the importance of being politically engaged and standing up for what is right.
Anna’s journey into politics began with her involvement in numerous campaigns in Arizona after graduating from high school in 2014. She realized that she needed to do more than just help Democrats get elected and pass ballot initiatives. Her commitment to her community led her to serve as the youngest member of the Cartwright Governing School Board. She loves the work she does for her community on the school board, but she recognized that there is more work to be done to fully advocate for the improvement of schools and communities.
In 2024, Anna ran for election to the Arizona House of Representatives to represent District 24. She won the general election on November 5, 2024, and assumed office on January 13, 2025. Her current term ends on January 11, 2027. Anna’s dedication to her constituents and her passion for making a positive impact on her community have made her a respected and influential figure in Arizona politics.
