Biography

Candice White is serving her first term as Vermont State Representative in the 2025–2026 biennium. White has spent her career in the communications and marketing field working for private and nonprofit businesses. She has held leadership positions on the business side of national magazines including The Atlantic Monthly, Fast Company, and The American Prospect. In 2008, she joined the Executive Team at Sugarbush Resort, where she oversaw marketing, communications, and guest service for a decade. In 2018, White began a strategic communications consulting practice. White has been a life-long advocate for women and is the current co-chair of the Vermont Women’s Fund Council. She is a former chair of the Central Vermont Economic Development Corporation board. And, she has advocated for local schools—as a past president of the Waitsfield Elementary School PTA and as a former member of the Harwood Union High School hiring committee. White is a 1991 graduate of Boston College. She is a freelance writer, a skier, a swimmer, and a former marathon runner. She has lived in Waitsfield since 2003, and is married to Christopher Klyza, a Middlebury College professor. Together, they have four adult children.
