David McCormick is a Republican member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 82. He assumed office on December 1, 2024, and his current term is set to end on December 1, 2026.
Born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia, David McCormick has deep roots in his community. He earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from West Virginia University in 1991 and later pursued an MBA Essentials program at the same institution in 2001. His professional journey has been marked by his entrepreneurial spirit, as he is a small business owner specializing in commercial interiors. This experience has given him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities faced by local businesses in his district.
McCormick’s commitment to public service is evident in his active participation in legislative committees. He serves on several key committees, including Agriculture, Commerce, and Tourism, as well as Government Administration and Local Governments. His legislative priorities include fostering economic growth, improving infrastructure, and supporting education initiatives to benefit the residents of his district.
Outside of his professional and legislative responsibilities, McCormick is an active member of his community. He is affiliated with the West Virginia Golf Association, where he serves on the executive board.
