Born on October 1, 1988, in Torrance, California, Guereca has built a career rooted in public service and community engagement. Before entering politics, he worked as a nonprofit executive director, where he focused on initiatives that supported underserved communities. His previous roles include serving as an organizer for the Service Employees International Union and as a business director for the Boy Scouts of America.

He has been an active member of organizations such as the League of United Latin American Citizens, the Sierra Club, and the Farmers Union. Additionally, he has held leadership positions, including serving as president of the Nebraska Young Democrats and as an officer in the Young Democrats of America.
