Gregory Holloway Sr. is an American politician, born on December 27, 1957, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, U.S. He is a member of the Democratic Party and has been serving as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from the 76th District since 1999.
Holloway Sr. was first elected to the chamber in 1999 and has been serving ever since. His current term ends on January 4, 2028. He has been in the position for over 24 years, making significant contributions to his district and the state of Mississippi.
He is married to April Holloway, who is the Tax Collector of Copiah County. They reside in their native Hazlehurst, Mississippi. They have two children, Gregory L. Holloway, II and Joshalyn Holloway.
In terms of education, Holloway Sr. earned his Bachelor’s degree from Alcorn State University in 1979. He also holds an M.P.P.A. in Public Policy from Jackson State University.
Over the years, Holloway Sr. has served on various committees in the Mississippi House of Representatives. These include the House Agriculture Committee, Banking and Financial Services Committee, House Education Committee, House Public Property Committee, House Rules Committee, and the Ways and Means Committee.
Before his political career, Holloway Sr. served as the Director of Hazlehurst Parks & Recreation. He is also a member of the board of directors for the Mississippi Headstart Association.
Holloway Sr. is a devout Christian and is a member of the Church of Christ Holiness, U.S.A.
