Biography

Khanh Pham is a member of the Democratic Party and the Oregon Working Families Party, serving in the Oregon State Senate. She represents District 23, having assumed office on January 13, 2025. Her current term is set to end on January 8, 2029.

Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Khanh Pham has a rich academic and professional background. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology/anthropology and political economy from Lewis & Clark College in 2001, followed by a master’s degree in urban studies from Portland State University in 2018. Her career has been deeply rooted in advocacy and community engagement. She has worked as the director of alliances for OPAL Environmental Justice and held roles such as immigrant organizing manager and environmental justice manager for the Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon (APANO). Additionally, she has been a Ph.D. researcher at Portland State University and has contributed to various organizations, including the National Radio Project, Refugee Transitions, Hesperian Health Guides, and the Global Fund for Women.

Khanh Pham’s dedication to public service extends beyond her professional roles. She has served as vice-chair of the Multnomah County Advisory Committee on Sustainability and Innovation and has been actively involved with the Portland Clean Energy Fund Executive Committee and the Jade District Steering Committee. Her legislative priorities reflect her commitment to environmental justice, sustainable development, and community empowerment.

Throughout her career, Senator Pham has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to addressing the needs of her constituents and advocating for policies that promote equity and sustainability. Her leadership in the Oregon State Senate continues to be guided by her passion for creating a more just and inclusive society.
