Steven M. Palazzo (born February 21, 1970) is a former American politician who represented Mississippi’s 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party, he served six terms in Congress, holding office from January 5, 2011, until January 3, 2023. During this period, he was one of Mississippi’s delegates to the federal legislature, participating in national lawmaking and representing the interests of his Gulf Coast and southern Mississippi constituents.
Palazzo’s tenure in the House spanned twelve years, marking him as a significant Republican figure for Mississippi in the early 21st century. Serving as a U.S. Representative for six consecutive terms, he was part of the state’s congressional delegation through multiple sessions of Congress, from the start of the 112th Congress through the end of the 117th. After leaving office in 2023, he became a historical member of Congress from Mississippi, noted for his extended service as Representative for the 4th District.
